  Henry Bar­low Kirsten

  Henry Bar­low Kirsten, 59, of Engle­wood passed away in a motor­bike acci­dent on Mon­day, March 5, 2012.

  Born Nov. 1, 1952, in Bridge­port, Conn., he had been a res­i­dent of Char­lotte County for 15 years since com­ing from Panama City. Henry served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for 15 years at Blue Dol­phin Car Wash in Engle­wood as a detailer. He was known for his love of the Bea­t­les, motor­cy­cles and his dog, Hazel.

  Clark D. “Rick” Wagar, 65, of Engle­wood, passed away sud­denly Fri­day, March 2, 2012, at home.

  Born June 26, 1946, in Ben­ning­ton, Vt., he had been a res­i­dent of Clear­wa­ter for 30 years and moved to Engle­wood eight years ago.

  Fran­cis C. McLaugh­lin, 94, of Cape Haze, passed away Thurs­day, March 1, 2012, at Engle­wood Com­mu­nity Hospital.

  Born Dec. 20, 1917, in Boston, Mass., he had been a res­i­dent of Char­lotte County for 28 years since com­ing from Cincin­nati, Ohio. Mr. McLaugh­lin served in the U.S. Army Air Corp dur­ing World War II. He was a qual­ity con­trol engi­neer for Gen­eral Elec­tric and retired after 36 years in 1983. He was a com­mu­ni­cant of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Boca Grande and a mem­ber of the Cape Haze Prop­erty Own­ers Association.

  Abe Cleve­land Kennedy, 93, of Engle­wood, passed away qui­etly on Tues­day, Feb. 28, 2012, at his Sara­sota County residence.

  Born on June 17, 1918 in Chat­tanooga, Tenn., Abe served in the U.S. Army Air Corp dur­ing World War II. Mar­ried to Rose Hutchins, they owned and oper­ated the Oak Grove Mobil Home Park in Engle­wood for 40 years until retire­ment in 1995.

  Paula Diane Sac­coc­cio, 61, of South Gulf Cove, passed away on Sat­ur­day, Feb. 25, 2012 at her Char­lotte County residence.

  Born on June 22, 1950, in Prov­i­dence, R.I., to Philip and Dorothy (Riv­elli) Catal­fomo, she was a devoted wife and mother. Paula moved to Pem­broke Pines from Prov­i­dence in 1989 and to South Gulf Cove six years ago. Paula attended St. Fran­cis of Assisi Parish in Grove City, was a mem­ber of the Amer­i­can Legion Aux­il­iary 113 and the Mir­i­mar Moose Women 1150. She enjoyed boat­ing, beach­ing and spend­ing time with her family.

  Dwight K. Brown, 79, of Engle­wood, passed away Wednes­day, Feb. 22, 2012, at Engle­wood Health & Reha­bil­i­ta­tion Center.

  Born on April 24, 1932, in Plain­field, N.J., he served in the U.S. Army Air Corp dur­ing World War II. Mr. Brown was a United Air­lines pilot for 32 years and retired in 1992. He moved to Sara­sota County eight years ago from Broom­field, Colo. He was a mem­ber of Com­mu­nity Pres­by­ter­ian Church.
