Response to Englewood Edge article: “Man Whose Dog was Burned by Bomb Wants ‘Punks’ Brought to Justice”
We at Suncoast Humane Society were saddened to read your Englewood Edge.com article regarding the alleged attack on Daniel Thoms and his dog Charlie Brown. Violence towards people or animals should never be condoned. This violent act had to be very traumatic for Charlie Brown and his owner.
News: Sarasota School children sing odes to Obama to music such as “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.” Taxpayers are upset our tax dollars are spent promoting one-sided politics in our elementary schools. If we want our children to learn politics, we will teach them at home.
Superintendent White’s office was contacted. Responsible: two teachers. They did not have permission to teach the music. The teachers were not fired for insubordination. They were, supposedly, reprimanded with a letter in their personal file.
