Submittted by Englewood East Church of Christ
The Clothes for the Needy Program at Englewood East Church of Christ would like to say “Thank You and God Bless” to everyone who came through with the overwhelming blessing of clothes donations during its drive.
There are no more clothes needed, and the church has run out of room to keep and store them.
However, the Handfuls of Purpose Food pantry is in need of non-perishable food and school supplies for the upcoming school year.
Beginning with its Aug. 21 distribution, the new hours for Handfuls of Purpose Food Pantry/Veterans Corner at the Englewood East Church of Christ, 9600 Gulfstream Blvd., will be from 10 a.m. to noon.
Non-perishable food donations are needed, as supplies are very low and need is very high.
The food pantry also is collecting back-to-school supplies and clothing for kindergarten through sixth grade.
All donations may be dropped off at the church Tuesday through Saturday. If no one is there, they may be left at the front door.
