Highway cleanup, 7:30 a.m., South McCall Road-South Indiana Avenue. The Scenic Highway Committee adopted a portion of the S.R. 776 corridor to help keep the area attractive to visitors and to maintain a high quality of life for local citizens. The group will maintain its area, which extends one mile on each side of the county line. Volunteers are needed to help out. Safety gear and training provided.

21st annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony, 6 p.m., Rotonda West island gazebo at the Oakland Hills Marina, Rotonda Circle. Santa will arrive at 6 p.m. and the light switches will be turned on at dusk. A lighted boat parade will be held in conjunction with the ceremony. The lighting event marks the start of the holiday season in the community.

Rotonda Christmas Parade, 2 p.m., Rotonda Circle from Rotonda Boulevard East to Oakland Hills Marina. Marching bands and units, classic cars, school groups, civic and service organizations, churches and more. The committee’s goal is 100 units. Parade rain date is Sunday, Nov. 28.
