Englewood teen slams SUV into tree

FHP logoVENICE, Fla. – An Engle­wood teen was taken to Sara­sota Memo­r­ial Hos­pi­tal on Fri­day after a one-car acci­dent on Jacaranda Boulevard.

Todd Park, 17, lost con­trol of his vehi­cle as he was dri­ving south on Jacaranda Boule­vard, toward Engle­wood Road, the Florida High­way Patrol reports. Todd ran the 2000 Toy­ota 4-Runner off the road at a curve; the SUV rotated clock­wise before over­turn­ing, FHP reports. It went 44 feet in a north­east direc­tion and the driver’s side hit a tree.

The SUV rotated coun­ter­clock­wise before stop­ping upright, fac­ing south­east, the report states. No skid marks were found on the scene.

Todd wasn’t injured, accord­ing to the report. He wasn’t charged.
