ENGLEWOOD, Fla. – Englewood Bank & Trust’s four locations served as collection points for shoes and monetary donations during the recent shoe collection drive for Kids’ Needs of Greater Englewood. Customers and staff responded with 400 pairs of shoes being donated.
Marcia Ziegler, coordinator for Kids’ Needs, said that several hundred more pairs of sneakers were donated or purchased with cash donations at all collection sites throughout the Englewood-Cape Haze area during the drive.
The shoes were distributed at the Back to School Bash, held Aug. 6 at the Englewood YMCA.
