Manasota Key informational meeting Aug. 16

Meet­ing will put forth ideas to stem ero­sion on the key.

ENGLEWOOD, Fla. – The Char­lotte County Board of County Com­mis­sion­ers will hold an infor­ma­tional meet­ing with U.S. Rep. Thomas Rooney and staff from the U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers at 3:30 p.m., Tues­day, Aug. 16, at the Tringali Recre­ation Cen­ter, 3460 N. Access Road, Engle­wood. The meet­ing will include a review of Man­a­sota Key ero­sion con­cerns and a dis­cus­sion with Corps of Engi­neers staff and Rooney about poten­tial mea­sures to address the erosion.

One or more county com­mis­sion­ers may be in attendance.

The pub­lic is invited to attend but there will be no pub­lic input.
