Suncoast Humane Society celebrates ‘National Mutt Day’ a day early

ENGLEWOOD, Fla. – Sun­coast Humane Soci­ety will cel­e­brate “National Mutt Day” a day early – Sat­ur­day, July 30 – at their Engle­wood Adop­tion Center.

All adop­tions of mixed-breed dogs (over 40 pounds) will walk away with a spe­cial care pack­age to start off right in their new for­ever homes. With each qual­i­fy­ing adop­tion, adopters will receive a free col­lar and leash, a free toy, a free heart­worm treat­ment, and a free bag of dog food.

National Mutt Day, cel­e­brated twice a year – July 31 and Dec. 2 – was started in 2005 to embrace, save and cel­e­brate mixed breed dogs.
