Speed­ers beware on Gulf­stream Boulevard.

Char­lotte Co. Sheriff’s Office 

ENGLEWOOD, Fla. – The Char­lotte County Sheriff’s Office will pay spe­cial atten­tion to traf­fic enforce­ment at these loca­tions from July 11–17:

Speed Enforce­ment:

• The entire length of Gulf­stream Boule­vard (Englewood)

• Mid­way Boule­vard between US 41 (Tami­mai Trail) and Ohara Drive (Port Charlotte)

Traf­fic Light Enforcement:

• Dun­can Road and Regent Road (Punta Gorda)

US 41 (Tami­ami Trail) and Con­way Boule­vard  (Port Charlotte)

Accord­ing to the Depart­ment of High­way Safety & Motor Vehi­cles, Char­lotte County has 16 vehi­cle deaths so far this year; there were 14 deaths this same time last year.
