Englewood Water District will announced when the water is safe to drink without boiling.

Englewood Water District will announced when the water is safe to drink without boiling.

Submitted by Englewood Water District

ENGLEWOOD, Fla. – Due to a water main break, the Englewood Water District has issued a boil water notice for the following streets:

  • • Pennsylvania Avenue from Twelth Street to Oyster Creek Drive
  • • Oyster Creek Drive from Pennsylvania Avenue to Kentucky Avenue
  • • Kentucky Avenue from Oyster Creek Drive to Thirteenth Street

As a precaution, we advise all water used for drinking or cooking be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

This Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until repairs are completed and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.

If you have any questions, you may contact the Englewood Water District’s water distribution manager, Wayne Kershanick, at 474‑3217.
