ENGLEWOOD, Fla. – The recent BoatSmart Class conducted by the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit and the US Coast Guard Auxiliary (USCGA), Flotilla 87, Englewood, made a bigger splash than expected.
According to a Flotilla source, about 40 people were expected to show up, but 122 residents turned out at the Englewood Event Center, all earning their Florida Safe Boating Certificate.
