Charlotte County Family Services assists with home energy costs

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – Char­lotte County Fam­ily Ser­vices announces new grant fund­ing to help those in need is now available.

The Low Income Home Energy Assis­tance Pro­gram (LIHEAP) assists eli­gi­ble low-income house­holds with their heat­ing and cool­ing energy costs for the pur­pose of reduc­ing the risk of health and safety prob­lems that arise from unsafe heat­ing and cool­ing practices.

This pro­gram pro­vides a once-a-year ben­e­fit for indi­vid­u­als and fam­i­lies of all ages who meet the income guide­lines. Call 941−833−6500 to deter­mine eli­gi­bil­ity for an appoint­ment. For more infor­ma­tion, see the web­site.
