ENGLEWOOD, Fla. – The Englewood area’s two United Methodist churches have special events planned this weekend as Holy Week gets underway for thousands of area Christians.

Families are invited to Gulf Cove United Methodist Church at 1100 McCall Road in Gulf Cove for fun and games at the annual Easter Festival.

The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. today (Saturday, March 19).

Kids age 12 and younger will receive an empty basket and take part in an Easter egg hunt. After the hunt, there will be snacks and activities – a bounce house, crafts, and several family games – and prizes.
