CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – The 2016 Char­lotte County Gov­ern­ment Acad­emy is a series of four half-day work­shops sched­uled for 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 5 p.m. April 13 and 14. The work­shops will be held in loca­tions through­out the county. Par­tic­i­pants should com­mit to both days of workshops.

Char­lotte County Gov­ern­ment Acad­emy is rec­om­mended to any­one that wants to know more about local gov­ern­ment. The pri­mary goal of the pro­gram is to pro­vide the oppor­tu­nity to share and learn about the var­i­ous depart­ments under the Board of County Com­mis­sion­ers. Enroll­ment is open to res­i­dents with a Char­lotte County address.
Reg­is­tra­tion forms for this free pro­gram are avail­able in var­i­ous county build­ings includ­ing libraries, the County Admin­is­tra­tion Cen­ter in Mur­dock, and online at www.CharlotteCountyFL.gov in the Hot Top­ics list. Forms must be received by 5 p.m. March 31. For more infor­ma­tion or to request a reg­is­tra­tion form, call the Pub­lic Infor­ma­tion Office at 941−623−1092.
