Ader­ton Primm “Pete” Samuel, 80, of Boca Grande, Fla., passed away Tues­day, Feb. 2, 2016, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 1, 1936, in St. Louis, Mo., to the late James and Louise (Primm) Samuel.

Mr. Samuel retired from a sales and mar­ket­ing career. A proud mem­ber of the Alumni of St. Louis Uni­ver­sity High School and of St. Louis Uni­ver­sity, he was an avid Car­di­nals fan. He loved the game of golf and his bud­dies and the gang.  He was a mem­ber of the Lemon Bay Golf Club and an alter server at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Boca Grande.

Sur­vivors include his lov­ing wife of 57 years, Eliz­a­beth “Nancy” Mullen Samuel; a daugh­ter, Susan (Peter) Leje­une of Berwyn Pa.; two sons, Peter (Pam) Samuel of St. Louis, Mo., and Christo­pher (Chris­tine) Samuel of Mis­sion Viejo, Calif.; two sis­ters, Vic­to­ria (Don) Anthon and Jane (David) Haffner and a brother, James (Jane) Samuel, all of St. Louis, Mo.; seven grand­chil­dren: Clare, Jack, James and Ben Samuel, Wynne, Sam and Mag­gie Leje­une; brothers-in-law Jim, Rich and Dan Mullen; and many nieces and nephews.

He is pre-deceased by a sister-in-law, Mary Wynne Mullen Donovan.

Funeral Mass of Chris­t­ian Bur­ial will be said at 11 a.m. Mon­day, Feb. 8, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Park Avenue, Boca Grande, with the Rev. Jerome Carosella offi­ci­at­ing, and co-celebrating by the Rev. James O’Connor.

Memo­r­ial con­tri­bu­tions may be made to the Boca Grande Child Care Cen­ter, Post Office Box 1386, Boca Grande, FL 33921 in mem­ory of Mr. Samuel.
