Mark Joseph Madonna accidentally and tragically drowned on Monday, August 24th, 2015. Mark was 21 years old.

Mark J. Madonna was born in Pomona, New Jersey on the evening of December 14th, 1993. He was the oldest son of Joseph Mark and Tracey Madonna.

Mark graduated from Lemon Bay High school in 2012 and attended one year at the State College of Florida earning President’s List honors. He then decided to pursue his dream of self employment and created a successful online business in the years that followed.

Mark was a successful entrepreneur who was extremely computer savvy, from building his own computer to implementing online marketing strategies, no task was beyond his grasp. Three months ago, he purchased his first brand new car, a proud milestone in his life as this was entirely the result of hard work in his business.

Mark was a spiritual person who constantly strived to learn more and evolve himself toward growth, evolution and transformation. He was intelligent, complex, unique, gentle and kind to all who knew him.

An avid video and computer gamer, Mark assembled a huge group of friends over the years. It was not just about playing, it was about connecting to people from across the world to talk and share perspectives. One of his best friends Chris described Mark as “a great listener who always gave the best advice.”

Mark’s overall goal in life was to help people by sharing his success and teaching others how to do the same for themselves. While coping with serious life long health issues, he developed his own personal philosophy on life rooted in spirituality, community, honesty, compassion and love. His younger brother Nicholas describes Mark as “spiritual, pacifist, entrepreneur, kind, innocent and pure-of-heart.”

This world needs more caring, honest, loving people like Mark and his time with us was too brief, much too brief. He had nothing but brightness and splendor ahead.

Mark J. Madonna is survived by his loving parents: Joseph Mark and Tracey Madonna, his brother and friend: Nicholas Madonna, maternal grandparents: Thomas and Jean Jennings, aunts: Janine (Gary) Szczurek and Elizabeth (Francis) Connor. Mark is predeceased by paternal grandparents: Daniel F. Sr. and Marie Madonna and uncle: Daniel F. Jr. (Sandra) Madonna.

A private service will be held in his honor. The family humbly and respectfully requests, please — no flowers. Memorial contributions may be made for the benefit of his brother, Nicholas D. Madonna (Scholarship Fund) in care of: Florida Community Bank, 3100 South McCall Road, Englewood, Florida 34224.

Englewood Community Funeral Home with Private Crematory has been selected to handle arrangements. You may share a memory or express condolences to the family at www.englewoodfh.com

Beautiful Mark,
