Joseph Wayne Monroe, 43, of Englewood, Fla., passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 20, 2015.

Born on July 7, 1971, in Winter Haven, Fla., he had been a lifelong resident of Englewood, graduating from Lemon Bay High School.  Joe was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the S.W. Florida Sportsman Club.  Joe was a sales representative for JJ Taylor Distributors of Fort Myers.

A good friend to all, he was the type of man who would give the shirt off his back, and if he couldn’t do that, he would buy you one. He was a devout husband and family man who loved his life. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Joe is pre-deceased by a brother, Brian Lee, in 2007.

Survivors include his loving wife, Traci C.; his son, Sidney James;   and his parents, Bud and Linda Monroe, all of Englewood; and a sister, Kimberly Hughes, of Campbellsville, Ky.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at the Englewood Community Funeral Home, 3070 S. McCall Road, at which time friends and family will be able to verbally share memories in remembrance of Joe.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sidney James Monroe Account #1000185561700, c/o Sun Trust Bank, 2931 South McCall Road, Englewood, FL 34224.

Englewood Community Funeral Home with Private Crematory has been selected to handle arrangements.  You may share a memory with the family at www.englewoodfh.com
