Sandra “Sandy” Jean Lampp Daniel, 68, of Englewood, passed away in the arms of her daughter on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, at Tidewell Hospice in Englewood.

Born on Aug. 17, 1946, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Jesse “Buster” and Ethel Mae (Beans) Lampp, she had been a lifelong resident of Florida since moving to Englewood when she was 6 months old.

Sandy loved the history of her family in Englewood and living on the Lampp homestead, part of “Olde Englewood” that has been named a historical landsite. She enjoyed working to improve her home and the surrounding landscape – her most enjoyable pastime.

A die-hard lover and protector of animals, she was a long-time contributor to the Humane Society. She rescued many cats over her lifetime and gave them a forever home.

Sandy had a robust career working with her father-in-law in real estate for many years.  She loved to cook, a trait she developed from her father, Buster.   One of her greatest memories was traveling throughout Hawaii and Mexico with Shelly.

A strong-willed woman, many who knew her will remember her tenacious spirit.

She is pre-deceased by her husband of 41 years, Robert “Bob” Keith Daniel in 2013.

Survivors include her only daughter, Shelly L. Babington, and one grandson, Jakoby Babington.

Englewood Community Funeral Home with Private Crematory has been selected to handle arrangements.  You may share a memory with the family at www.engelwoodfh.com
