Don­ald Rogers Boisvert

Don­ald Rogers Boisvert, 83, of Rotonda West passed away Wednes­day, Nov. 26, 2014, at the Dou­glas T. Jacob­son State Vet­eran Home in Port Charlotte.

Born on Sept. 9, 1931, in Clare­mont, N.H., to the late Wil­fred J. And Jeanne M. (Gilbert) Boisvert, he served in the U.S. Air Force dur­ing the Korean Con­flict from 1950 to 1954.

A res­i­dent of Rotonda West since  com­ing from South Wind­sor, Conn.,  in 1994, Mr. Boisvert retired from Aetna Life & Casu­alty after 42 years.  A Class of ‘62 grad­u­ate from the Uni­ver­sity of Con­necti­cut with a B.S. degree, he was an aux­il­iary state trooper for the state of Con­necti­cut while attend­ing col­lege. He was a com­mu­ni­cant of St. Fran­cis of Assisi Parish.

He is pre-deceased by his wife of 40 years, Teresa R. (Dobruk) Boisvert, in 1997, and his ashes will be placed with hers in St. Fran­cis of Assisi Memo­r­ial Gar­den in Grove City.

Sur­vivors include his daugh­ter and her hus­band, Kim­berly R. Boisvert and Ahmed Yehia of Col­orado Springs, Colo.; a sis­ter, Yvette Nor­ris of Man­ches­ter, Conn.l and two grand­chil­dren, Dorian Roger Yehia and Jason Steel Yehia.
