Dwight K. Brown, 79, of Englewood, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Englewood Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Born on April 24, 1932, in Plainfield, N.J., he served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. Mr. Brown was a United Airlines pilot for 32 years and retired in 1992. He moved to Sarasota County eight years ago from Broomfield, Colo. He was a member of Community Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife of eight years, Carolyn M. Brown; two daughters, Kathleen L. Krikorian and Kristine A. Mock; three sons, Kevin, Keary and Keith; two stepdaughters, Susan Balodis and Lynn Laubach; a stepson, Frederick Laubach IV; two sisters, Marthe Hoffman and Gwen Curley; and 10 grandchildren.
A family service will be held at a later date in Estes Park, Colo.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation, Inc., 1501 NW 9th Ave., Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136–1494 in memory of Dwight Brown.
