Claude R. (Bob) Stumpf
Claude R. (Bob) Stumpf, 87, of Englewood and Greece, N.Y., passed peacefully Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, from heart failure. He was predeceased in June by his wife of 61 years, Loretta (Derby) Stumpf.
He is survived by his son Jeffery (Debbie) Stumpf and daughter Cindy (Bob) Stumpf-Schlauch; grandchildren Stephanie (John) DeTringo, Scott Stumpf and Sarah (Marcelo) Garcia; great-grandchildren Courtney and Nick DeTringo and Benjamin Garcia; sisters-in-law Laura Fera and Marilyn (John) Craig ; brother-in-law Bernard (Celia) Derby, and many nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Charlotte High School in Rochester, N.Y. and the University of Rochester. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company after 36 years of service. He was very proud of the fact that he visited all seven continents.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Ave., Rochester, N.Y., in the spring.
