Car­roll Bruce Totman

Car­roll Bruce Tot­man, 82, of Engle­wood, passed away peace­fully Tues­day, Nov. 29, 2011, at the Tidewell Hos­pice in Arcadia.

Born March 2, 1929, in Gar­diner, Maine to the late Charles and Beat­rice (Leighton) Tot­man, he had been a res­i­dent of Engle­wood for 26 years since com­ing from Need­ham, Mass.

Mr. Tot­man served in the U.S. Army in the Sig­nal Corp. A data pro­cess­ing spe­cial­ist, he was employed by IBM, ADP and ACA before end­ing his career in 1985. He was a mem­ber of the Christ Lutheran Church in Englewood.

Sur­vivors include his lov­ing wife of 59 years, Peggy Tot­man of Engle­wood; two daugh­ters, Sue Joachim of Rotonda West and Julie (Drake) Daniels of Hud­son, N.H.; a son, Brent (Rose­mary) Tot­man of Cen­ter­ville, Mass.; a brother, Robert Tot­man of Ham­den, Maine; and seven grand­chil­dren: Erica Joachim, Katie and Michael Lan­dolfi, Molly, Cara, Han­nah and Lee Totman.

A memo­r­ial ser­vice will be held at 9 a.m. Mon­day, Dec. 5, at the Christ Lutheran Church, 701 N. Indi­ana Ave., with the Rev. Theresa Fos­ter offi­ci­at­ing. Engle­wood Com­mu­nity Funeral Home with Pri­vate Cre­ma­tory has been selected to han­dle arrangements.
