Wanna be a rock star? Performing Arts Academy plans workshop

Lemon Bay Per­form­ing Arts Acad­emy invites chil­dren in grades three through eight to attend the free “So You Wanna Be a Rock Star” work­shop Sat­ur­day, Sept. 18.

The work­shop is lim­ited to the first 100 appli­cants. Rock­star trainees must be cur­rently enrolled in third through eighth grade.

Rock­star trainees will be split into age groups and rotate in groups to sing, dance and learn how to per­form, walk and speak with con­fi­dence in Rock­star 101.

Rock­star trainees will also learn audi­tion­ing skills in prepa­ra­tion for Engle­wood Elite audi­tions to be held  from 5 to 7  p.m. Tues­day, Sept. 21,   to be a part of Englewood’s own trav­el­ing troupe of Rock­star per­form­ers. Sing, dance, learn to play instru­ments and per­form at gigs around the state.
