Manasota Key Overlay Code meeting time changed

A pub­lic meet­ing planned to dis­cuss revi­sions to the Man­a­sota Key Over­lay Code will begin at 6 p.m. today, an hour ear­lier than pre­vi­ously scheduled.

The Growth Man­age­ment Depart­ment will hold the meet­ing at the Tringali Recre­ation Cen­ter, 3460 S. McCall Road (access road). This meet­ing is to solicit pub­lic input on the pro­posed revi­sions and to answer ques­tions con­cern­ing the pro­posed revi­sions. Char­lotte County Dis­trict 3 Com­mis­sioner Robert Skid­more and Interim County Admin­is­tra­tor Ray San­drock will be in attendance.

The draft of the pro­posed revi­sions is sched­uled to be pre­sented to the Plan­ning and Zon­ing Board at its Sept. 13 meet­ing and will be heard by the Board of County Com­mis­sion­ers on Oct. 19  and Nov. 16.
