A public meeting planned to discuss revisions to the Manasota Key Overlay Code will begin at 6 p.m. today, an hour earlier than previously scheduled.

The Growth Management Department will hold the meeting at the Tringali Recreation Center, 3460 S. McCall Road (access road). This meeting is to solicit public input on the proposed revisions and to answer questions concerning the proposed revisions. Charlotte County District 3 Commissioner Robert Skidmore and Interim County Administrator Ray Sandrock will be in attendance.

The draft of the proposed revisions is scheduled to be presented to the Planning and Zoning Board at its Sept. 13 meeting and will be heard by the Board of County Commissioners on Oct. 19 and Nov. 16.
