Upstate N.Y. makes for a great fall getaway

Nature abounds in the Finger Lakes region of New York.

Barry Manilow sang about a “Weekend in New England,” but he might have changed his tune — or perhaps come up with yet another song — had he checked out Schulyer County in the Finger Lakes region of New York.

Visitors can sail, wine, dine and explore for a full weekend for less than $100. Kick back on a schooner or take to the track at Watkins Glen. There are plenty of options for all tastes.
