Edwin Gordon Klinger, 86, of Englewood passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at his residence.
He was born Aug. 19, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Edwin served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for U.S. Freight and retired from Mutton Outdoor Power Equipment in 1983 as a sales representative. He was a member of the Syracuse Masonic Lodge 454, F & AM Syracuse, Ind., Valley of Ft. Wayne Scottish Rite Bodies, Mizpah Temple Shrine, PBO Elks Lodge 2378 Englewood and a life member of VFW 10178. He moved to Englewood following his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Percie, of Englewood; three daughters: Jykla Ann Peper of Tybee Island, Ga., Tamara Sue Side of Fort Wayne, Ind. and Fort Myers; and Kimberly June Konowitz of Fort Wayne; one sister, Eileen Vale of Sarasota; one brother, James Klinger of Warren, Ohio; and 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Englewood Community Funeral Home and Cremation Service has been selected to handle arrangements.
