Edwin Klinger

Edwin Gor­don Klinger, 86, of Engle­wood passed away Tues­day, July 27, 2010 at his residence.

He was born Aug. 19, 1923 in Cleve­land, Ohio.

Edwin served in the U.S. Army dur­ing World War II. He worked for U.S. Freight and retired from Mut­ton Out­door Power Equip­ment in 1983 as a sales rep­re­sen­ta­tive. He was a mem­ber of the Syra­cuse Masonic Lodge 454, F & AM Syra­cuse, Ind., Val­ley of Ft. Wayne Scot­tish Rite Bod­ies, Miz­pah Tem­ple Shrine, PBO Elks Lodge 2378 Engle­wood and a life mem­ber of VFW 10178. He moved to Engle­wood fol­low­ing his retirement.

He is sur­vived by his wife of 60 years, Per­cie, of Engle­wood; three daugh­ters: Jykla Ann Peper of Tybee Island, Ga., Tamara Sue Side of Fort Wayne, Ind. and Fort Myers; and Kim­berly June Konowitz of Fort Wayne; one sis­ter, Eileen Vale of Sara­sota;  one brother, James Klinger of War­ren, Ohio; and 11 grand­chil­dren and six great-grandchildren.

Engle­wood Com­mu­nity Funeral Home and Cre­ma­tion Ser­vice has been selected to han­dle arrangements.
