Gulf Cove United Methodist Church is sponsoring a 13-week session on financial planning, using training material from Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University.
The weekly, one-hour meetings will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays starting Aug. 19.

The cost of the material (per family) is $100, which includes shipping and handling and a lifetime entitlement to additional assistance.

At 2 p.m. Thursday, July 29, Dale Phillips of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office will hold a presentation on Scams, Frauds, and Identity Theft. Following her discussion, there will be a brief session on credit card debt and a short introduction to Dave Ramsey’s Financial Planning sessions. The entire session could take two to three hours.
