Church sponsoring 13-week financial planning session

Gulf Cove United Methodist Church is spon­sor­ing a 13-week ses­sion on finan­cial plan­ning, using train­ing mate­r­ial from Dave Ramsey’s Finan­cial Peace University.

The weekly, one-hour meet­ings will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thurs­days start­ing Aug. 19.

The cost of the mate­r­ial (per fam­ily) is $100, which includes ship­ping and han­dling and a life­time enti­tle­ment to addi­tional assistance.

The dead­line for reg­is­ter­ing for this train­ing and for pay­ing the $100 cost is Thurs­day Aug. 5. Call John Fur­tado at 941−830−0121, or the church office at 941−697−1747.

At 2 p.m. Thurs­day,  July 29, Dale Phillips of the Char­lotte County Sheriff’s Office will hold a pre­sen­ta­tion on Scams, Frauds, and Iden­tity Theft. Fol­low­ing her dis­cus­sion, there will be a brief ses­sion on credit card debt and a short intro­duc­tion to Dave Ramsey’s Finan­cial Plan­ning ses­sions. The entire ses­sion could take two to three hours. The com­mu­nity is invited to attend this free ses­sion. For ques­tions, con­tact John Fur­tado at 941−830−0121.
