Theodore L. Bonnough

Theodore L. Bon­nough, 75, of Engle­wood died July 20, 2010.

Born  Feb. 11, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio, Ted was a vet­eran of the U.S. Air Force assigned to Pres­i­dent Kennedy and fam­ily at Wash­ing­ton National Air­port. He retired in 1961. Ted was also retired project man­ager for the Depart­ment of Energy.

Ted loved soft­ball, sail­ing and reading.

He is sur­vived by his lov­ing wife of 49 years, Con­nie; daugh­ter Tana Shoup; twin sisters-in-law Fran Behnke and Bet­tie Pen­rod; four grand­chil­dren: John and Derek Shoup, Megan Holt and Dakota Bon­nough; three great grand­chil­dren: Mia Shoup, Ma Kenna and Tallen Holt. Also, he is sur­vived by his cousin, Ed (Linda) Yarchenko of Engle­wood and many nieces and nephews. He was pre­de­ceased by his daugh­ter, Saage Bon­nough. Ted will be greatly missed.

A cel­e­bra­tion of life ser­vice will be held at 1 p.m. Sat­ur­day, July 31, at the Engle­wood Sports Com­plex ball field on South River Road in Englewood.

In lieu of flow­ers, the fam­ily has requested that dona­tions be made to the Sun­coast Humane Soci­ety, 6781 San Casa Drive, Engle­wood, FL 34224. Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Engle­wood is in charge of cre­ma­tion arrangements.
