Food pantry hours changing in August

Food dis­tri­b­u­tion times change in August.

Begin­ning with its Aug. 21 dis­tri­b­u­tion, the new hours for Hand­fuls of Pur­pose Food Pantry/Veterans Cor­ner at the Engle­wood East Church of Christ, 9600 Gulf­stream Blvd., will be from 10 a.m. to noon.

Non-perishable  food dona­tions are needed, as sup­plies are very low and need is very high.

The food pantry also is col­lect­ing back-to-school  sup­plies and cloth­ing for kinder­garten through sixth grade.

All dona­tions may be dropped off at the church Tues­day through Sat­ur­day. If no one is there, they may be left at the front door.
