Docile Kattie is the EARS Pet of the Week

Kattie is the EARS Pet of the Week.

By Kellie Karbach

Are you looking for a quiet, mid-aged cat for your home?

Meet Kattie!

Kattie is a beautiful, 3-year-old domestic shorthair with a very mild personality.

Kattie is one of those cats who values peace and quiet. In the PawZazz playroom, she exhibits a shy nature toward others, preferring to stay in her cage rather than run about with the other kitties or following the volunteers in hopes of getting petted. Kattie likes attention from people, no doubt; she would rather have them come to her, however. She likes having her head scratched particularly, but is partial to any kind of attention she can get. She will not nip if you stick your fingers through the cage to pet her, as some cats do. This girl is a people-oriented cat, but may take some time to warm up to a new home and would be happy to have a quiet corner for herself.

Kattie does not frolic with the other felines in the playroom, but she does not mind if they come and visit her if they are not being aggressive. Kittens especially like to investigate her cage, and though she watches them she will allow them to explore without interfering as long as they don’t try to agitate her. The other cats seem to respect her peaceable nature and will not bother her. If Kattie is put into a home with another benign and mature cat, she would do well, but she would do even better in a home by herself.

Kattie is a loveable girl despite her introverted, quiet nature. She would be a great companion for anyone, however. Would you like Kattie in your home?
