News: Sarasota School children sing odes to Obama to music such as “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.” Taxpayers are upset our tax dollars are spent promoting one-sided politics in our elementary schools. If we want our children to learn politics, we will teach them at home.
Superintendent White’s office was contacted. Responsible: two teachers. They did not have permission to teach the music. The teachers were not fired for insubordination. They were, supposedly, reprimanded with a letter in their personal file.
Questioned about curriculum, White’s response: “Teachers may teach as they wish.” There is no leader at the helm here. In well-run schools throughout the United States, curriculum must pass through and with full endorsement of the superintendent. Apparently, not in our schools.
Response: obfuscate.
Another incident: There is an Internship Program secretly pushed by President Obama in our secondary schools. This program is foisted upon all schools in the U.S. (They didn’t leave Sarasota Schools off the list.) It recruits students, in most cases, without parents’ knowledge. Requirement: study radical books such as Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals.” (Alinsky is a self-proclaimed revolutionary Communist.) The aim is to brainwash and promote Marxism. They train students to EDUCATE their parents, encouraging them to proclaim they know more than their parents.
Response: obfuscate
Where in the world is the Board of Education? What have we gotten for our tax money? It’s not accountability, it’s not education, it’s not American values but undermining the family and brainwashing our children.
