Pur­pose: Com­mit­tee to con­duct an annual review of the expen­di­tures made by the Sara­sota County Com­mis­sion from the pro­ceeds of the Infra­struc­ture Sales Tax and to review any changes made by the Board to the infra­struc­ture projects or to the allo­ca­tion of sales tax pro­ceeds as set forth in Ordi­nance No. 97–083, as amended.

Vacan­cies: Three (3) vacan­cies as fol­lows: one (1) rep­re­sen­ta­tive that must be demo­c­ra­t­i­cally selected in accor­dance with CAAB bylaws and will rep­re­sent the eli­gi­ble pop­u­la­tion of the Cen­sus Des­ig­nated Place of North Sara­sota and two (2) rep­re­sen­ta­tives from busi­ness, indus­try, labor, reli­gious, law enforce­ment, edu­ca­tion, or other major groups and inter­ests who are serv­ing in the community.

Require­ments: Mem­bers must be a Sara­sota County res­i­dent and shall have expe­ri­ence in water and waste­water related account­ing, man­age­ment, engi­neer­ing, cus­tomer ser­vice, or shall have served in an offi­cial capac­ity with a homeowner’s asso­ci­a­tion or other orga­ni­za­tion which pro­vides water or waste­water ser­vices or rou­tinely par­tic­i­pates in reg­u­la­tory or pol­icy mat­ters related to water or waste­water. No mem­ber shall be employed by any munic­i­pal­ity within the county. Advi­sory Board: Water­ways Advi­sory Council

Vacan­cies: One (1) due to term expiration

Pur­pose: To pro­vide a con­duit for cit­i­zen input to the Water­ways Pro­gram Man­ager and the Gov­ern­ing Body and to make rec­om­men­da­tions and pro­vide advice. The Water­ways Advi­sory Coun­cil shall act solely in an advi­sory capac­ity, report­ing directly to the Gov­ern­ing Body. The Water­ways Advi­sory Coun­cil shall have no author­ity to oblig­ate or expend any county or pro­gram unit funds with­out autho­riza­tion of the Gov­ern­ing Body. All mem­bers of the Water­ways Advi­sory Coun­cil shall serve with­out compensation.

Require­ments: All mem­bers shall be prop­erty own­ers and res­i­dents within the Pro­gram Unit. No mem­ber of the Water­ways Advi­sory Coun­cil shall hold an elected office, or be a ven­dor of county goods and/or services.
